Locals can unleash their inner artist at a three-day event in Downtown Memphis.
The River Arts Fest is an outdoor celebration that will feature the work of more than 180 artists from around the nation. Mediums will include jewelry, photography, paintings, metal, and glass. Displays will range from modern to traditional.
There will also be more than 40 performances on three different stages. Strolling musicians will entertain attendees too. A variety of food, wine, and beer vendors will be on site.
With more than 85,000 people expected to attend, it is likely printing companies have been busy creating promotional materials to inform residents of the festival’s date, time, and place.
Admission is free the first night and $5 for each of the second two days. There will also be a free concert on the first night. Kids aged 10 and under are free.
On October 23, there will be a preview party from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The party costs $30 and includes hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and entertainment.
The festival will take place from October 23 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, October 24 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, and October 25 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. The free concert will be held on October 23 from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
The festival will be held at the Historic South Main Arts District.
