Sioux Falls to thank essential workers with comedy show

Sioux Falls is gearing up to host a comedy music show to thank essential workers for their service in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Humor for Heroes will be hosted by Sanford Health, and the distinguished musical comedy duo Williams and Ree will headline the event. Williams and Ree have been performing for over 50 years in venues running the gambit from casinos to the Grand Ole Opry. Earning accolades for their politically incorrect musical comedy, the duo has shared the stage with big-name musicians such as Tim McGraw, Connie Smith, and Gene Watson.

Companies that would like to support the community’s workers through charitable donations are encouraged to buy sponsorship packages that include donated tickets to essential workers. To promote the event and its cause, businesses offering flyer printing are also often called upon for their services.

The Humor for Heroes show will take place on at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 1 at the Sanford Pentagon. Proper social distancing and other COVID-19 safety protocol will be in place. A select number of tickets is on sale with general admission tickets priced at $20 (not including taxes and service fees) via Ticketmaster. Local acts yet to be announced will open for Williams and Ree.

More information about the show can be found on the Experience Sioux Falls website.
