This December, Sioux Falls will host Comedy for a Cause: A Benefit for Healing Hope Ministries to raise money for the organization, which helps grieving individuals and families.
Healing Hope Ministries believes humor can be a balm for sadness and grief, and it hopes that a night of laughter may provide healing and hope to those in pain.
The nationally renowned comedian Michael Cruz Kayne, who has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, will head the comedy show. There will be a social hour and dinner beforehand where the Healing Hope Ministries team, community leaders, and business leaders can network, so Print shops specializing in business card printing may be needed.
Attendees will be able to choose whether they wish to attend in person or virtually. The in-person event will be at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. For the virtual option, guests will be emailed a private YouTube link 24 hours before the event.
Money raised will go towards supporting various operational aspects of Healing Hope Ministries, such as creating customized programming and services, beautifying the property, and funding grief education groups and retreats.
The benefit show is scheduled for Thursday, December 3 from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm and will cost $100. The virtual program is $50 and will start at 6:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased at eventbrite.com.
