Sioux Falls to host areas largest one-day arts festival

The Sidewalk Arts Festival is coming to Sioux Falls this autumn to bring locals and tourists alike a day of fun and creativity.

The festival holds the title of the region’s largest one-day arts festival. It will be hosted by The Washington Pavilion and held in the Pavilion’s renovated historic building downtown. The Washington Pavilion is one of the only facilities in the world to house interactive science, performing arts, visual arts, and educational opportunities all under one roof.

The event will feature over 240 vendors displaying the area’s best examples of folk art, fine art and crafts. Guests will be able to meet local artists and purchase their unique wares. Such events often provide ideal opportunities for artists and vendors to establish community connections, making Business Cards handy to have. There will be something for the whole family to enjoy, including children’s activities, live entertainment, and food vendors.

The Sidewalk Arts Festival is free to attend, with some of the proceeds from food, retail, and art purchases going towards supporting the Visual Arts Center, which provides visual arts programming for children and adults.

The festival is scheduled for September 11 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at The Washington Pavilion, located at 301 South Main Avenue, Sioux Falls. For more information on the event, call 605-367-7397 ext. 2377.
