Next month, the Scheels Ice Fest will provide a weekend of icy fun for all the ice fishing enthusiasts in Sioux Falls.
Scheels All Sports, a sporting goods chain owned and operated by employees, will be teaming up with Clam Outdoors, a leader in ice fishing equipment, to host the fest. The event will provide the opportunity to hear exclusive seminars by experts in the ice fishing field. Guests will also enjoy event-only deals on popular products, as well as the opportunity to receive Promotional Products or even win over $10,000 in prizes. Everyone who Signs up for the giveaway will receive a free gift.
The first day of the festival will feature speaker Dennis Kassube presenting a talk entitled Balanced Gear: The Complete Setup. Paul Stark will present his talk on Favorite Pothole Lake Tactics, and Neil Jensen will discuss ice fishing safety in his seminar Staying safe on the Ice. The second day will recap these seminars, as well as introduce new talks such as Breaking Down and Forecasting the Glacial Lakes and Finding Fish on the Ice.
The Scheels Ice Fest is scheduled for Friday, December 10 and Saturday, December 11. Activities on Friday will run from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. On Saturday, hours will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It will take place at the Sioux Falls Scheels store on 2101 West 41st Street.
