Sioux Falls to enjoy art and wine event

Sioux Falls will present its annual Art and Wine Walk this May for anyone interested in experiencing the city’s local artistry while enjoying fine wines and foods.

Sponsored by AARP Sioux Falls and in partnership with AARP South Dakota, the festival will take place in Downtown Sioux Falls along Phillips Avenue. To facilitate a safe and welcoming environment, Philips Avenue between 9th and 10th Street will be closed to vehicular traffic so that walkers can explore the area as they please.

Attendees will be able to stroll the city streets, visiting venues showcasing artwork, photography, and sculptures from local artists, and some locations will even have live demonstrations and street performers. Participating shops will have extended open hours for shoppers, and vendors will also be set up along the streets. Wine enthusiasts will be able to purchase sampling cards that will grant them access to a selection of unique wines at various locations.

Walking events like this will often offer printed maps so that guests can easily find their way through the different attractions. Local Print shops with specific Graphic Design Services may be called upon to help organizers wishing to prepare such materials.

The Art and Wine Walk is scheduled for Friday, May 2 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost to attend, but some activities may cost extra.
