Rare by Design will present The Style Show: A Runway to Empower in Sioux Falls next month to raise money for the non-profit’s efforts to advocate for individuals living with rare diseases and disabilities.
Rare by Design is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advocate for awareness, representation, and inclusion of people living with rare disabilities, diseases, and disorders. The organization works to create positive community engagement for these individuals and to foster support for other national and local non-profits with the same mission.
The Style Show will feature fashion modeled by a variety of different body types, striving to represent a diverse range of people. The event will begin with a social hour complete with glasses of bubbly and sweets. Afterwards, there will be the fashion show and program, followed by an afterparty with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Funds raised will go towards supporting Rare by Designs projects, including an inclusive ad campaign, an art display called the Rarity Exhibit, and research and educational programs.
Fashion shows will often be advertised on visually appealing Posters that event organizers can get professionally printed at businesses offering poster printing services.
The fashion show is scheduled for May 6 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. It will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn Sioux Falls Downtown, which is located at 201 East 8th Street. General admission is $85.
