The Downtown Holidays event is returning to Sioux Falls for another year of fun and activity.
Events will start off on November 28 with the Jingle Bell Run at Falls Park Arch beginning at 6:30 pm. This will be followed by the Parade of Lights at 7:30 pm, which will take place every Saturday until Christmas. The parade begins at 14th and Phillip, and will end with an awards party at the Holiday Inn City Center.
Beginning on the next day, visitors can take horse drawn wagon rides which depart from 12th and Phillips between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
Santa will also be making appearances on December 13 and 20 at Shriver Square from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. On December 13, from 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm, guests can enjoy a Tuba Christmas at the Coliseum.
During these holiday events, several local stores will be selling $15 coupon Books for charities through Downtown Gives. This year, proceeds go to First Book - Sioux Falls, which provides low-income children with Books to read. There will also be a weekly draw for a $50 gift certificate among people who purchase the Books.
Organizers of Downtown Gives have likely contacted Sioux Falls printing companies to help them design and produce the coupon book.
Downtown Holidays celebrations will take place for almost a full month in total. Call 605-338-4009 for updated information on activities.Get a Free Quote for Books
