Sioux Falls festival to transport guests to the past

The Siouxland Renaissance Association will soon hold the 23rd Annual Siouxland Renaissance Festival in Sioux Falls for anyone interested in a unique experience.

The Siouxland Renaissance Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing the passion for the Renaissance era of Tudor England. Throughout the year, the organization hosts several events that center around the Renaissance. These events include parades, fairs, and presentations given at schools and community centers. The main event of the year is the Annual Siouxland Renaissance Festival, which offers an immersive experience for guests.

The two-day festival this year is set in Shrewsbury, England 1575. There will be character actors milling about in full era-appropriate costumes as they showcase what life was like in the reign of Tudor-era Queen Elizabeth. There will be vendors selling wares, jugglers, firebreathers, jesters, musicians, and many more characters to marvel at. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in Renaissance-era garb, but it is not required.

Such festivals will often be advertised on colorful Posters that can be hung in places like game shops and libraries. These Posters can be professionally printed at local Print shops offering poster printing services.

The renaissance festival is scheduled for June 1 and 2. It will be held at 100 North Lyon Boulevard. Tickets are $15, with special discounts for seniors and children ages 4 to 12.
