Sioux Falls to enjoy airshow

The Sioux Falls Air and Space Expo will be held this year near the South Dakota Air National Guard field and will utilize the runway as well. The airshow will be open to the public.

One main feature of the airshow will be the performers, which will include US Air Force, Navy, National Guard, and others. There will also be privately owned planes doing demonstrations. Performances will begin at 11:00 am both days of the festival, and will go until 4:00 pm.

There will also be a number of other activities at the expo. Food vendors will be in attendance selling food and drinks, and there will be drinking fountains to help people keep hydrated. There will be a kids zone with games and activities for the younger guests, and static aircraft displays will be available for viewing. These will be grounded and will be attended by pilots, both civilian and military.

Multiple public parking lots will be open for this event, and buses will shuttle guests from these parking lots to the event and back for a $4 roundtrip. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, folding chairs, umbrellas, and cameras. Outside food and drink are not allowed at this event, and Bags will be subject to security searches.

Events like this often use printing services in order to have printed schedules for attendees, as well as printed identifiers for the planes and other attractions. This event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 17 and 18.
