Sioux Falls conference to tackle child maltreatment

Next month, the Center for the Prevention of Child Maltreatment (CPCM) will host the 22nd Annual Community Response to Child Abuse Conference in Sioux Falls.

The annual two-day conference provides a forum for child health and services professionals, students, and advocates to come together to work towards effective solutions on how to respond to child maltreatment and the trauma resulting from it. The conference provides a unique opportunity for continuing education and professional training, as well as networking and collaborating for those who work in the field.

Attendees will receive training from the Child’s Voice at Sanford Health, the Unified Judicial System (UJS), and the Court Improvement Program (CIP) on best practices and innovative processes to increase awareness of child abuse in various circumstances. Training will also look to improve responses to such cases, with the end goal of preventing such situations from happening in the first place.

Professional conferences like this often have printed event schedules and Brochures for attendees to carry with them as they attend different panels and activities. An easy solution to printing these schedules in bulk would be to visit local Print shops specializing in brochure printing.

The conference is scheduled for October 6 and October 7 from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. It will take place at Sheraton Sioux Falls & Convention Center on 1211 Northwest Avenue. Professional registration is $150, and student registration is $75.
