Get in the mood for the holidays at Winter Wonderland

The 9th annual Winter Wonderland will kick-off on November 19 at Falls Park. Between 6 and 9pm 400 thousand lights will be lit, Santa and Mrs Claus will appear, there will be cookies and hot chocolate, live reindeer, music, horse-drawn wagon rides and zoo animals to see. Free bus and trolley rides will be provided from downtown to Falls Park.

If you need to get into the holiday spirit, Winter Wonderland is the way to do it. The park will be decorated with lights and garlands until January; it will be open to visitors daily from 6-9 pm and on weekends from 10 am-8 pm. Free trolley rides will continue on Saturdays. No doubt Sioux Falls printing companies have provided banner printing and flyer printing services to advertise this annual event.

Winter Wonderland is organized by the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and is always draws a large percentage of the city’s residents. This all-ages event helps residents discover the beauty of the holiday season as they view the thousands upon thousands of lights and decorations spread throughout Falls Park.

While so much of the holiday season seems geared to shopping and to buying gifts that may or may not touch the recipient, events like Winter Wonderland remind us of how much fun it can be to just look at lights, go for a wagon ride and listen to holiday music. This free family event brings back a lot of the joy of the season that is often overlooked.
