Folk event returns to East Providence

A free music festival, the Rhode Island Folk Festival, will be back in East Providence’s Rose Larisa Park this summer.

Promos describe the festival as featuring some of the finest rock, folk, and acoustic acts in the state and beyond. Among the artists headlining the 2022 festival are The Fools, Robin Lane, and Jake Blount. A variety of local musicians will be on hand as well, including Julie Rhodes, Beauquet, Sidy Maiga, and Mark Cutler. In all, more than 50 acts will be performing on the festival’s three stages.

The Rhode Island Folk Festival, produced by John Fuzek, a Rhode Island singer-songwriter, was originally called the Providence Folk Festival. In addition to the three stages offering entertainment, attendees can also visit the many craft vendors and food trucks on hand.

Festivals, fairs and the like are often promoted with help of both banner printing and poster printing services.

There is no cost to attend the Rhode Island Folk Festival; attendees need only pay for any food or drink they consume and their purchases from vendors. For those who wish to help keep this a free event, a GoFundMe page has been set up for the support of the festival.

The Rhode Island Folk Festival will be held Sunday, August 28. Additional information can be found on the event’s website.
