An animal welfare fundraiser is being organized in Wyomissing for this summer, combining golf and community to raise money for a good cause.
The Fore! The Animals Fundraiser, which is being led by the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, will be getting set up in Wyomissing next month to provide golf enthusiasts and animal lovers with a reason to come together. The experience is being built around golf simulators, with the host site providing six separate bays where participants can try their luck. The simulators will have a “Closest to the Pin” challenge, with the winner splitting the pot with ARL.
In addition to the golf simulators, attendees can sign up for the fundraiser’s raffles. These raffles will provide further support for animals in need in Berks County while giving those who enter the chance to win prizes. Attendees will enjoy access to several local food trucks for snacks, meals, and refreshments during the day. Special guest Elizabeth Bentz, an occupational therapist and yoga instructor, will also attend and provide consultations by donation.
Keystone Golf, located on Hill Avenue in Wyomissing, is set to play the host for the fundraiser, which starts at 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 18. Admission is free, and registration for golf costs $22.50 per golfer.
