Food lovers will want to make a note in their phones for next month, as an anticipated chili cook-off event is coming to the Wyomissing area.
The West Reading Chili Cook-Off 2026 will be coming up soon, and food enthusiasts with an interest in trying the best recipes are invited to attend the competition. Organizers have announced that more than 20 local businesses are participating in the competition this year, and attendees will get to sample each one and serve as the judges. Each visitor will get to vote for the chili they liked best.
The cook-off will be held rain or shine, and interested parties are encouraged to check the weather and dress for the conditions. Banner printing can serve as a warm welcome for participants in the cook-off while promoting it and generating excitement among passersby and community visitors.
The cook-off is limited to 200 participants, and registration will close when that number is reached. Participants will pick up their scorecards on the day of the event and drop them off at 3rd Avenue and Spruce in West Reading. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family to support local businesses.
Check-in will be at The Art Room, 633 Penn Avenue, in nearby West Reading. The cook-off is scheduled for Sunday, March 15th, at noon. Registration is $20 per person online.
