A upcoming show has been rescheduled twice, and is now set for a third date.
“A Genesis Extravaganza, The Musical Box” was a world-wide hit, and now Volume 2 is on tour, and is coming to Glenside soon. The performance features music from the Genesis albums “And Then There Were Three,” “Wind & Wuthering,” “A Trick of the Tail,” “Selling England by the Pound,” “Foxtrot,” “Nursery Cryme,” and “Trespass,” which were released between 1970 and 1978. Among the group's biggest hits are familiar tunes like “Land of Confusion,” “Invisible Touch,” and “The Musical Box,” for which the tribute band is named.
The Musical Box first got together in 1993 in Quebec, founded by Sébastien Lamothe, who advertised for Genesis fans who were musicians to play in a tribute band. The group presents its version of Genesis stage shows as accurately as possible, using similar costumes and lighting, and adopting the dialogue and onstage persona of original members like Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins.
A review of the tribute band says:
“Amazing band in every . . . respect! The musicianship is off the charts and for anyone who never got to experience Genesis in the Peter Gabriel days it’s an absolutely mind blowing evening! Can’t recommend any stronger! Not to be missed!!!”
A Genesis Extravaganza will now be at the Keswick Theatre on November 21 and 22 at 8.00 pm. Brochure printing can create informative programs for events like this.
