Glenside is holding its second annual St. Patrick’s Day parade and festival this March.
The parade will start at 11:00 am from Renninger Park and will include more than 60 community groups, businesses, performers, and nonprofits. The route runs along Keswick and Abington Avenues. A map is available online. Additional details about participants and good spots for spectators will be provided closer to the parade.
After the parade, there will be a festival featuring 14 musical acts performing on four stages. A curated selection of vendors will sell Irish-themed items, and lunch and snacks will be available for purchase from food trucks. Vendor application is now closed, but the parade organizers are accepting sponsors, with packages ranging from $250 to $5,000. Sponsors will be featured on parade Banners and other materials. Organizers often use banner printing services to create these.
The Knights of Columbus are also hosting a fundraiser to support the parade, which will be on Friday, February 27. The event is $40 per person and includes food, beer, wine and soft drinks. There will be live music and raffles. Tickets are available on the parade website, and the event is for adults 21 and over only.
Glenside’s second annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration will take place on Saturday, March 21 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Parade participants may apply now.
