The Keswick Theatre will be the place to be to relive some of the glory days of disco in February.
An upcoming concert features groups performing the music that kept dance floors crowded for a decade—the Trammps, the New York Bee Gees, and Bill Jolly. The Trammps are one of the first bands to play disco, and had a huge success when they covered “Zing! Went the String of My Heart,” in 1972. However, their best-known hit is “Disco Inferno,” which won them a Grammy, and was included on the “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack.
The New York Bee Gees is comprised of some of the best musicians from the New York area, many of whom have been in other world-class bands including Herman's Hermits, Blue Oyster Cult, and The Alan Parsons Project. The group, as the name implies, is a tribute band to the Bee Gees, and has performed in such venues as B.B. King NYC, and The Paramount Theatre. B.B. King NYC writes the band plays all the hits including “Night Fever” and “Stayin' Alive,” as well as lesser-known works.
Bill Jolly is a noted and well-respected arranger, composer, music director, and keyboardist, who will join with the other two bands on February 26, 2021, at 8:00 pm at the Keswick Theatre. Poster printing can create colorful advertising for events like this.
