New list names Glenside as great place to live

The website Niche just released the names of those places it considers the best in which to live for the year 2019, and Glenside has made the cut.

Among communities in Pennsylvania that are on Niche's list, Glenside comes in at number 37, and was also given high rank on a number of other lists.

The rankings determining the “Best Places to Live” consider suburbs, city neighborhoods, and cities themselves. Niche further refines its categories by defining a location with 1,000 or more residents as a “non-rural town”. This includes small cities, suburbs, and neighborhoods. The best suburbs, neighborhoods, and cities to live in were ranked separately.

Glenside also landed on other lists for Pennsylvania, including being named a young professional's 46th best suburb, and the 29th best suburb overall. Graphic design can be used to incorporate honors like this into official community government symbols.

Niche gave Glenside a grade of A+ overall. Niche's grades in various categories were:

Outdoor activities: A
Cost of Living: C+
Diversity: B
Good for Families: A+
Nightlife: A-
Housing: B+
Public Schools: A

The best place to live in the State of Pennsylvania, Niche says, it Chesterbrook; it named Bluemont, an Arlington, Virginia, neighborhood, as the best place to live in the nation. Niche says it aims to provide comparable, accurate, and thorough evaluations of the places it places on its lists.
