Singer Taylor Dayne's successful music career includes selling more than 75 million singles and albums around the world. Now, she is on her way to Glenside's Keswick Theatre for an appearance.
Dayne is getting ready to release the first album she has recorded in a studio in nearly a decade. Titled ‘Satisfied’, the work, according to the artist, examines the various kinds of love—damaged, happy, unrequited, and so on, and asks listeners to consider whether or not they are satisfied with their life choices. It gives Dayne a chance to share her versatility, as she moves from ballads such as ‘Beautiful’, to rock to reggae. Shows like this benefit from advertising, which managers can create by working with a poster printing company.
Dayne is the co-writer of four songs on ‘Satisfied’. Other artists who have written for her project include Peter Wade, who has worked with Jennifer Lopez; and Mike Mangini, who includes Bruce Hornsby among those for whom he has penned songs.
In addition to a successful singing career, Dayne has appeared on the big screen, as well as the ‘Rescue Me’ television series. She has also been in ‘Aida’ on Broadway, and written songs for films.
The Keswick Theatre opened in 1928, on Christmas night. Horace Trumbauer designed the space, and also designed the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Taylor Dayne appears on Friday, January 18, at 8:00 pm. Doors open an hour earlier.
