Fans of heavy metal rock should make plans to be in Glenside soon, for an evening with a veteran band of the genre.
Queensryche will be at the Keswick Theatre, bringing their unique sound to the venue. The band, which formed in the Seattle suburb of Bellevue, Washington, in 1980, has released a number of DVDs, and 15 studio albums. They have continued recording and touring since they first began their career. Their work is in the progressive rock and heavy metal rock genres, and they have recorded for a number of labels, including EMI and Atlantic.
The band is a solid success, with more than 20 million albums sold worldwide, six million of them solely in the United States. Queensryche's album “Operation: Mindcrime,” which they released in 1988, received great acclaim as one of the best concept albums a heavy metal band ever made. They followed up this effort with “Empire,” which contained the hit “Silent Lucidity.”
A review of Queensryche in concert said that the evening was, as expected, an “awesome performance,” with the band sounding “really good,” and making its difficult material seem easy to perform.
The Grammy-nominated Queensryche will appear February 19 at the Keswick Theatre, with the performance set to begin at 8:00 pm. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts advertising events like this.
