Glenside to hold annual food truck festival

Glenside will host its annual Food Truck Festival once again this September.

The Downtown Glenside Foundation expects more than 26 food trucks and local restaurants to participate. Food trucks will offer a variety of cuisines for attendees to enjoy. The trucks will be parked on Easton Road in downtown Glenside, which will be closed to cars during the event to allow attendees to explore the festival on foot. This is an event open to all members of the community, but Glenside’s Arcadia University specifically encourages its students to attend as part of its “Rock the Knight” program.

In case of rain, the festival will be rescheduled to Thursday, September 15, which is the week following the original date. Attendees who are driving to the festival should be aware that Easton Road will be closed to cars starting at 4:00 pm on the day of the festival. Towns often use poster printing services to indicate where roads are closed for special events.

The Downside Glenside Foundation, Arcadia University, Cheltenham Township and the Abington Township Police Department are jointly sponsoring the event. The foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting community, the arts and local businesses in downtown Glenside.

The Glenside Food Truck Festival will take place from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, in downtown Glenside.
