A popular musical group is on the way to Glenside to celebrate the holidays.
The supergroup from Canada, The Tenors, will be in Glenside with its “Wonder of Christmas” tour. The group comprises Clifton Murray, Fraser Walters, and Victor Micallef, and has performed all over the world, appearing in more than 1,000 life shows on all five continents, and making hundreds of appearances on television. Their style is referred to as “operatic pop music,” which includes everything from “Panis Angelicus,” which was composed by Palestrina in the mid-1500s, to Leonard Cohen's “Hallelujah.”
The Tenors have performed at the G20 summit before world leaders; appeared at the White House for the Obamas' Christmas Tree Lighting; and sung for Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, among other events. They have been on stage with some of music's most famous performers including Sir Elton John, Sting, Andrea Bocelli, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Sir Paul McCartney, and many others.
A review of one of The Tenors' performances calls it a “slickly efficient show” during which the group wowed its fans by giving them a great variety of songs “thrillingly sung,” and with plenty of their distinctive brand of humor.
The Tenors will appear at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside at 8:00 pm on December 18. Poster printing can be used to create suitable advertisements for events like this.
