The Cheltenham Township Library System is hosting a virtual poetry event this June.
‘Poets and Poetry’ will feature a reading from two award-winning poets, as well as open mic time for attendees. The event is open to all patrons of the Cheltenham library system, including residents of Glenside and other towns.
Nick and Lisa Lutwyche are the featured poets. Nick performed his ‘The Telling Project’ with five other veterans at the Library of Congress in 2012, and he has been having his work published in both the US and the UK for more than 25 years. Lisa’s most recent full-length collection, ‘A Difficult Animal’, was published in 2016. She has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize in 2000 and 2015. After the reading, all attendees will have the chance to share their own work.
This is a remote virtual event that will take place on Zoom. Those interested in attending need to register in advance through the Cheltenham Township Library website’s events calendar. The Zoom login information will be sent by email to those registered two days before the event. When putting together virtual events, libraries and other organizations often use Graphic Design Services to create professional slides and images.
Poets and Poetry will take place on Wednesday, June 15 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, on Zoom.
