Glenside gets the Led out

Although Led Zepplin broke up in 1980, their iconic music is still played, and now a tribute show is coming to Glenside to bring these notable songs to a new audience, while the fans of the original band can enjoy them again.

For many people, Led Zepplin ruled the world of rock for years, becoming one of the biggest acts in the world in the late 1960s up to the mid-1970s.

“Kashmir” is one of the most popular of all Zepplin's songs, and it is also the name of the tribute band. The four-piece ensemble strives to reproduce the original Zepplin sound, and the members also resemble the original band members physically. Jean Violet handles vocals and plays the harp in the style of Robert Plant; keyboards and bass are handled by Felix Hanemann, taking the John Paul Jones role; drummer Paul Cooper channels John Bonham; and Jimmy Page's interpreter is Andy Urban, who plays the Theremin and guitar.

Violet formed Kashmir, the Live Led Zepplin Show in 2000, and it has grown to be one of LZ's most popular tribute bands. Chris Martin of Coldplay chose Kashmir to perform at a private engagement, and said he chose them because he'd asked friend who the best Zepplin tribute band is.

Kashmir will appear at the Keswick Theatre on January 11 at 8:00 pm. Brochure printing can be used to create programs for events like this, with room enough to describe both acts.
