Glenside chamber to host breakfast event

The Young Professionals Council of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County is hosting a breakfast presentation on what business professionals can learn from travel this winter.

The guest speaker, Lesley Katz, will discuss how she applied the lessons she learned from adventure travel to project management in her business. Katz is the owner and founder of Leveraging Financial Knowledge, which provides financial life skills-related education programs for individuals, companies, and colleges. The company also offers tax preparation, bookkeeping, and other financial services for businesses.

The event will start with registration, a continental breakfast and time for networking. Chamber members often bring Business Cards to exchange contact details at this type of event. The presentation will begin at 9:00 am. This will include a talk, as well as opportunities for discussion. To prepare, participants should brainstorm career skills they would like to develop, and other areas of life where they might be able to work on those skills.

Those planning to attend should sign up on the Chamber’s website. The event is free for members and $20 for guests. The Chamber’s members include business owners and other professionals from Glenside and nearby towns across the county. Breakfast is included in the event price.

Business Lessons Through Adventure Travel will take place on Thursday, February 8 from 8:30 to 10:00 am at AVE Blue Bell, 1600 Union Meeting Road.
