Glenside Chamber to honor nonprofit leaders

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County is celebrating its nonprofit members this June.

A Celebration of Community will include a sit-down lunch and the presentation of awards. The event will open with lunch, which will be served buffet-style, and time for networking. Chamber of Commerce members often use business card printing services to prepare for this type of networking session.

The awards ceremony and keynote speech will begin at 12:30 pm. The executive director of United Way of Bucks County, Marissa Christie, will give the keynote remarks. Beth Sturman, the executive director of Laurel House and Jayne Blackledge, the director of the North Wales Area Library, will receive the Nonprofit Leadership Award. David Heins of Movement Mortgage will receive the Community Service Award. Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union will receive the Corporate Citizenship Award. Sergeant William Henry from the Lower Gwynedd Police Department will be given the Home Town Hero Award.

Those planning to attend should register online, which is $35 for members and $45 for guests. Registration is non-refundable after June 1. The Greater Montgomery County Chamber’s membership includes representatives from businesses and nonprofits throughout the county, including those in Glenside and other nearby towns.

A Celebration of Community will take place on Thursday, June 13 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at College Hall at Montgomery County Community College.
