The Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is hosting its monthly Power Luncheon event in Glenside this April.
The event will include a keynote speaker, lunch, and time for networking. Attendees often exchange Business Cards during the networking portions of this type of event. The talk will focus on corporate volunteering and how giving back can help build stronger communities. This includes how corporations can provide essential resources for local charitable projects, how volunteer programs can improve employee morale and wellbeing, and how building connections between corporations and communities can be mutually beneficial.
Jenny Ward, an assistant vice president at Lincoln Financial Group in Radnor, is the guest speaker. Ward has worked in marketing and project management, and now has a key role in the company’s rebranding strategy. She believes in the importance of volunteer work and holds board and leadership roles at Peter’s Place and Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Those planning to attend the luncheon can sign up on the Chamber’s website. The cost is $45 per person for both members and guests. Sponsorships are available for interested businesses. Business owners or representatives can email the organizers at jude@emccc.org to discuss packages and pricing details.
The Fireside Chat on Corporate Volunteering will take place on Tuesday, April 8 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at LuLu Country Club in Glenside.
