Glenside area theater group to host talent show

Stage Company Theatre Arts is hosting its first Community Youth Talent Show this October to raise funds for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Stage Company’s students, along with their guests ages 17 and under, are invited to perform in the talent show. Each act should be between two and three minutes long. Those participating need to attend a rehearsal session before the show. At the rehearsal, the Stage Company staff will offer coaching suggestions and approve each performance. All proceeds from the talent show will go toward Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Child Life Department, which provides art and music therapy for patients.

A children’s theater program, Stage Company offers summer camps and after school programs. Students of all skill levels receive instruction in singing, dancing, and acting, and then put on a performance at the end of the session. Camps take place in Abington and include participants from towns throughout Montgomery County, including Glenside. Arts education schools like this often use promotional Pens to increase visibility in the local community for their programs. Details about tickets and how to purchase them will be available closer to the show date. Those interested in attending should check the Stage Company website for updates.

The Community Youth Talent show will take place on Sunday, October 16, at 3:00 pm at Abington Arts Center.
