Glenside residents have a chance to laugh in the company of one of the stars of comedy.
Bob Saget will be appearing at the Keswick Theatre soon, bringing his unique brand of comedy. Many people probably know Saget mostly as the long-time host of “America's Funniest Home Videos,” or for his role as Danny Tanner on “Full House.” However, Saget has been performing stand-up comedy for more than 30 years, some of it more adult-oriented than his family-friendly television shows. Poster printing is often used to advertise events like this.
He is also a director, writer, and producer, and his specials have drawn high ratings. His one-hour comedy special, ‘That's What I'm Talkin' About’, aired in 2013, and won him a nomination for a Grammy for ‘Best Comedy Album’.
An author as well, Saget's 2014 book, ‘Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian’ made the New York Times bestseller list. If all that weren't enough, Saget has also appeared on Broadway, playing Pastor Greg in the play ‘Hand to God’, which was nominated for a Tony.
A review of one of Saget's live performances warns that audiences should not go expecting to see mild-mannered Danny Tanner, but Bob Saget, who will tell somewhat bluer jokes that make people laugh until they cry.
Saget will appear at the Keswick on October 25, with the show starting at 8:00 pm.
