Arts event returns to downtown Glenside

Downtown Glenside, in partnership with other local institutions, will host the town’s annual Arts Festival once again this April.

Arcadia University and the Downtown Glenside Foundation are sponsoring the annual Downtown Glenside Arts Festival. Held in celebration of Earth Day and the arrival of spring each year, it includes vendors selling food, wine, and craft beers from local Glenside breweries. More than 70 artists and crafters will display and selling their work for festivalgoers. There will also be craft activities for children and other entertainment for attendees of all ages. Artists with tables at the festival will include Margot’s Pottery, Bruce Carrabrandt Art, Kalpana Jewelry, Whimsical Woodcarvings, and Better Half Artistic Designs. Vendors at this type of event may use banner printing services to promote their work to the public.

Local shops and restaurants in Glenside’s walkable downtown area will be open to festival attendees as well. Glenside has been designated a “Classic Town” in the greater Philadelphia area, which recognizes towns with a dynamic local culture and centralized downtown sections. The Arts Festival will take place near the Glenside SEPTA station, so it will be easy to access by car, train, or bus.

Downtown Glenside’s Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, April 23, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in downtown Glenside. The latest updates can be found on the Facebook event page.
