Butler, Pennsylvania is looking to nudge its way back into the record Books just a couple of months after losing its crown for a huge vehicle gathering.
The city set a Guinness World Record for ‘Largest Parade of Jeeps’ at its inaugural Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival. However, ‘Jeep Beach’, an event held at Daytona Beach, Florida at the end of April, held a parade with a total of 1,846 jeeps, beating Butler’s record of 1,106.
At this year’s Jeep Heritage Festival, the birthplace of the jeep plans to take back its title. Its organizers had already planned on attempting to beat Butler’s own record, and announced as much in September 2014, long before the parade at Daytona Beach. Fittingly, this year’s parade be celebrating the 75th birthday of the Bantam Jeep.
Staging for the parade takes place at the Butler County Community College. From there, the parade route will go north on Route 8 through Downtown Butler, which is where a banner printing service’s product would do the most good for advertising both the parade and the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival.
Following the parade, the rest of the festival activities will take place near Slippery Rock at Cooper’s Lake Campground.
The festival is to be held on the weekend of June 12 to 14, with the parade on the first day.Get a Free Quote for Books
