Butler takes a lot of pride in the culinary talents of its mobile eateries, and they will be taking center stage during an event that will provide a day of relaxed fun in the sun.
A combination of a food truck rally and cornhole tournament is in the works at the Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center. A friendly and entertaining competition, it is set for early June, and up to 32 teams may register.
The tournament will follow a double elimination format, and everyone is guaranteed at least two games. While pre-registration is greatly appreciated, if spots are available, latecomers may be accepted. Both single and team signups are welcome, and the fee charged starts at $15.
Whether they play or not, the public can support the activity by dropping by to pick up lunch or a snack at one of its food trucks. A printing services company's graphic design department can prepare and install vehicle wraps so mobile eateries of all sizes can look their best for the summer season.
The 2nd annual Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center’s 2nd Annual Food Truck Fundraiser will get the fun rolling starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 6. More information about signing up to play or provide the fare for the day can be found by visiting its web listing.
