Butler fundraiser combines food and fun

A Butler event will soon be making its return, and will include a new addition that that organizers hope will attract lot of attention.

The Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center’s Food Truck Fundraiser will once again be serving up a variety of taste treats, and this year, a cornhole tournament is also in the works. They are both scheduled for the same date, and there is enough space for 32 teams on the roster.

The festivities, which will be on offer at 103 Bonnie Drive, will see several food trucks from the coal area rolling in, and attendees may choose to register a team to pay cornhole or cheer on those who do. It will follow a double elimination format, and everyone is guaranteed to pay at least two games. Advanced registration is appreciated, but some spaces may be available on the day of the event. Both single and team sign-ups are available.

To help ensure the function is a success, the organizers are interested in hearing from any sponsors or vendors who would like to join the fun. A printing services company with in-house graphic design options can prepare and install vehicle wraps for food trucks and other mobile eateries.

The 2nd annual Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center Food Truck Fundraiser is set for Saturday, June 6. The fun will begin at 11:00 am.
