Across Pennsylvania, law enforcement agencies are taking part in the national Click It or Ticket campaign running from now through early June.
State troopers, including those here in Butler, are going a step further to ensure the safety of Pennsylvania's children. Checkpoints will be available between May 19 and June 1, so that parents can learn more about the proper use of child safety seats.
By bringing their cars and car seats to one of the checkpoint, parents and caregivers can find out whether they are placing the seat properly and whether they are strapping them in tightly enough. Adam Reed, a Pennsylvania State Trooper, says students show that three quarters of safety seats are installed incorrectly.
Butler County residents can have their child seats checked on May 24 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm in Butler at the Sam's Club on Moraine Pointe Plaza. State Trooper Reed said that those parents unable to attend the checkpoint in their county can get in touch with their local state police barracks, as they are always likely to have an expert on hand to offer their assistance.
Safety programs are made more effective with the help of brochure printing services. Often, it is easier for people to absorb information when it is in written form and can be consulted as needed.
