The city of Butler is the birthplace of the Bantam Jeep - an iconic vehicle and the father of all jeeps. To celebrate the city's involvement and the history of the Jeep, the Bantam Jeep Festival takes place this weekend, starting tomorrow, August 10, and continuing till Sunday.
The city streets will be closed to all other traffic as up to 1,500 Jeeps park all over the city. Fans will have a chance to show off their vehicles and take a look at other Jeeps. Area businesses will be open during the invasion and DJs will be providing plenty of music.
Other activities during the festival allow Jeeps to really show their stuff. One competition, the Ruff 'n' Tuff, awards Jeeps in several categories, including ‘Most Mud’ and ‘Most Rust’. A road rally takes Jeep owners on a tour of Butler and the surrounding area as they set off on a scavenger hunt.
Plenty of vendors will be on hand at the fairgrounds, selling everything from food to memorabilia. A traditional pig roast, known as the ‘Great Pig Out’, will take place on Saturday evening. Kids will have a chance to play and relax in the ‘Little Jeepers Playground’ area.
Stationery printing could have been used by the Butler festival to spread the word and to Print information about the history of the Bantam Jeep. Visitors to the festival will have opportunity to learn more about the Jeep's history during an exhibit on Saturday and Sunday.
Online registration for the festival closed in July but participants have a chance to register their jeeps today, provided space remains.Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Print
