Stickball in the spotlight at OK City museum

The First Americans Museum of Oklahoma City will be hosting a New Year’s Stickball game.

The purpose of the game is to not only give people a chance to play a unique recreational sport and have a great time, but give them a chance to experience the type of games and sports played by the First Americans played.

This unique event will give attendees the chance to play in a tournament-style game. The game will be outdoors, so guests are advised to dress for the weather.

Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to play, and there is no charge for the event. For more information, including how to play and what is necessary, attendees are welcome to visit the First Americans website.

While at the museum, attendees are encouraged to check out the other offerings. Venues like museums often place brochure printing orders to highlight the events they have coming up.

The event itself will be on Saturday, January 7, at 1:00 pm. It will start with warm-ups and a demonstration before teams will form. Players will go through a tournament in order to play, and the event will conclude with a final championship game at 2:00 pm.

Organizers note that the museum will be open to visitors during that time of the same, as well as before and after, so players are free to look around.
