The Oklahoma Zoo and Botanical Garden is hosting a sensory-friendly safari next month for guests with sensory sensitivities.
The OKC Zoo is bringing the holiday spirit to families and visitors to the area with a special event titled “Safari Lights”, geared toward people with sensory sensitivities. The event will display 59 different wildlife-themed sculptures for guests to view from the comfort of their vehicles.
Visitors will find themselves surrounded by colorful displays, festive music, seasonal treats, and time with Santa. The zoo will also create a walking experience, including interactive lights and other magical experiences for the whole family this holiday season. The drive-thru and walk-thru experiences are located on separate pathways for a peaceful journey through the park.
The zoo will offer beverages and snacks to keep visitors comfortable in the park. Guests can pre-order treats like hot chocolate or kettle corn to keep themselves nourished.
