Oklahoma City makes top 10 for satisfied employee

In a recent study complied by Glassdoor, Oklahoma City has ranked in eighth place on a list of the top 50 cities with the most satisfied employees.

Glassdoor is a career community, helping jobseekers find their dream jobs and offering employers an opportunity to get feedback on what they are doing right, and what they can improve, directly from their employees. This is the second year that it has compiled the Employment Satisfaction Report Card by City. In both years, the San Francisco Bay Area has held the top spots, with San Jose ranking at #1, and San Francisco at #2.

Overall, Oklahoma City scored a 3.3 on Glassdoor’s scale of 1 (very dissatisfied) to 5 (very satisfied). Employees working for the Oklahoma State, Chesapeake Energy, and the University of Oklahoma were the most satisfied with their positions. For compensation and benefits, respondents rated Oklahoma City at 3.3, and regarding career opportunities, a 3.1 score was achieved. Overall, 40% of respondents felt that the business outlook over the next six months was improving, 40% felt that it was staying the same, and 19% felt that outlook was getting worse.
