Vanessa and Elicia Martin, two sisters from Duncan, have made it to the 2015 pageant finals for Miss Teen and Miss Pre-Teen.
Elicia is going for the title of Miss Pre-Teen, and Vanessa is a contestant for Miss Teen. If they win this local competition, which is being held in Oklahoma City, they will travel to the national competition in Orlando as contestants for Oklahoma City and the metropolitan area.
The young ladies applied and interviewed for the titles. They knew they were going on to the next level as soon as the judges were finished interviewing the other contestants. Finalists could win prizes up to $30,000 and a weeklong vacation in Orlando. They will model formal dress and casual clothing. Contestants must also let their inner beauty shine through the judges' interviews, as personality is the highest scoring category of the pageant.
For now, the Martin sisters are in need of sponsorships so they can get formal training to help prepare for the finals. They also need funds to get to Orlando, and for their expenses during the pageant.
