The Museum of Art in Oklahoma City is hosting four Sonic Free Family Days within the coming year.
During these days, starting at noon, the 415 Couch Drive museum will offer free admission, experiences in various galleries, activities in making art, and featured guests. Sonic Drive-In is sponsoring Sonic Free Family Days.
Adult learning and tour manager Bryon Chambers expressed his excitement to offer twice as many Sonic Free Family Days. The Oklahoma City Museum of Art's purpose is to enhance society with visual media.
More days with free admission makes art more accessible to the community. Museums use banner printing to let the public know about special events on the day, which helps bring in extra guests and advertise for future events.
The two additional free family days will be during spring break for the public school system and during the exciting POP Power from Warhol to Koons exhibit during the summer. According to Sonic Drive-In public relations vice president Christi Woodworth, the company was excited to sponsor two more days as requested by the museum. Woodworth notes that Sonic Free Family Days are about families participating in hands-on activities, see the museum's galleries, and spend a Sunday together.
The Sonic Free Family Days are October 20 and December 1 of 2019, and March 15 and June 28 of 2020. Each of these days is a Sunday.
