Fashion retailer opens in city mall

Oklahoma City's Quail Springs Mall has become home to the first H&M store in the state.

The fashion outlet opened on September 3 at noon in front of hundreds of excited residents, some of whom had been waiting since midnight. A total of 300 customers received a T-shirt and passes valued at $10 to $200 from the mall.

Representatives of H&M said the store will have several departments to serve residents, including men’s, young men’s, ladies’, young ladies’, and smaller departments for sports, children, maternity, and undergarments.

H&M Expansion Specialist for the U.S. stores Patrick Shaner said that customers have access to great outfits with so many articles expected to arrive, and this is one aspect of the company that Shaner believes sets it apart from the competition. The company is the first to recycle clothing around the world, and offers 20% off in-store purchases for donating clothes, regardless of brand.

Hennes and Mauritz, better known as H&M, started their clothing store in 1947 in Sweden and it has become one of the world's largest chains of its kind. Only 379 out of the 36,000 stores are in the United States.

With a new store inside the building, the mall will have to put up Posters announcing the opening and directing customers to it. A poster printing company could make several Signs that are easy to read.
