The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual “State of the Schools” event soon, designed to help inform the Oklahoma City business community about the current opportunities and challenges facing local schools.
The event will feature a panel of local experts, including Gayla Lutts, Ed.D. from Oklahoma City Schools), Scott Newman of Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City, and Dr. Jeannie Webb from Rose State College. It will also feature a keynote address by Dr. Bryan Johnson, who serves as the executive vice chancellor and chief strategy officer for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The event is part of the Chamber’s continuing tradition to work closely with the area’s schools. It will be held on Wednesday, August 9, and runs from 11: 30 AM to 1:30 PM. It will be held at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, which is located at 1700 NE 63rd St, in Oklahoma City. Individuals interested in attending can arrive as early as 11:00 AM, and as always, Chamber members are encouraged to bring plenty of Business Cards to exchange during the networking portion of the event.
Tickets are $60 for Chamber members and $85 for non-members. The price of the ticket includes lunch, and sponsorships are still available for interested businesses that want to take the opportunity to promote their businesses
