Dodgers end month with win

On April 26 at Principal Park, the Oklahoma City Dodgers won against the Iowa Cubs with a score of 4-2.

The Dodgers have won three out of the four games against the Cubs in the series, and their success in this latest game was down to starting their offense early.

Two Dodgers walked before Pierce Johnson, pitcher for the Cubs, pitched three batters out in a row. In the third inning, Elian Herrera, second baseman for Oklahoma City, walked for the second time in the game. Corey Brown set up for a triple and Rob Segedin finished it with a fly ball, bringing two men in and putting Oklahoma on the board first. Segedin would come in for another run afterward.

Iowa managed to gain two runs with a left field hit in the bottom of the third inning. In the fifth inning, Segedin swung for a double with two outs. Iowa's Munenori Kawasaki made an error, throwing the ball into the dugout and allowing the fourth Dodger to get across home plate.

This was the season's second win for Jeremy Kehrt, starting pitcher for Oklahoma City, who retired eight batters, thereby achieving his highest total in six years.

The Dodgers are a staple of Oklahoma City and would be a good subject for Postcards. A postcard printing company that can photograph them in action would be a good choice for the project.
