Dodger walk to victory

On May 29th, the Oklahoma City Dodgers defeated the Fresno Grizzlies 2-1.

After eight games on the road, the Dodgers are on their way home with the league lead of 33-14. Pitchers for the Dodgers were able to strike out nine players and walk none, allowing two hits and one run from the Grizzlies.

Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark was sold out as the team earned their fifth win by a walk-off of the season. Neither team scored until the bottom of the seventh inning. Andy Wilkins walked to first base and then took advantage of two wild pitches to get to second and third. The Grizzlies walked Scott Scheleber. With the bases loaded, Darnell Sweeney walked to first base and Wilkins came home for the first run. However, in the next inning Grizzlies' Matt Dominguez hit a solo home run to tie the game.

In the bottom of the ninth, Wilkins hit a double to center field. The Grizzlies once again walked Scheleber. Finally, Brian Ward hit a line drive scoring a single for him but Wilkins was able to make it home and win the game.

With the league lead, fans or the manager of the team may want to hire a banner printing company to make something to celebrate this achievement. Alternatively, they could also have a poster made and hang it in the stadium.
