The Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first ever “State of the Aerospace” industry – a clear nod to the power of this industry in the region.
The event is explicitly designed to give event attendees a deeper understanding of the importance of the sector and its current state.
Event attendees will have an opportunity to hear a keynote address from Steve Fendley, President of the Unmanned Systems Division with Kratos Defense and Security Solutions. Fendley will provide an overview of the industry and discuss its importance to the economic health of the region as a whole.
There will also be a panel-led discussion from James Grimsley and David Zahn. Grimsley is the Executive Director of Advanced Technology Initiatives, and Zahn is a research pilot. The moderator for the discussion will be Kent Shortridge, the Chamber’s Vice Chair of Military and Aerospace.
There will be time for networking before and after the event, so Chamber officials are encouraging attendees to consider bringing Business Cards and arriving as early as possible.
The event is on Wednesday, May 8 and runs from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. It will take place at the Delta Hotel by Marriott MWC at The Reed Conference Center, 5750 Will Rogers Road, Midwest City, just outside of Oklahoma City. Members pay $55 for tickets, while non-members are charged $80.
