One of its branches of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County is slated for a construction project in the near future, as per an announcement made by the library.
Commencing tomorrow, May 1, a minor construction project will be carried out at the Poland Library to renovate and enhance the area for the benefit of the community. The library will close tomorrow and is scheduled to be reopened to the public the following Monday, May 8. Poster printing could be used to share details about temporary closures.
As a part of the project, the crews will swap the carpet, paint, and modernize the library's interior appearance. The construction planning will commence in May, followed by the actual work starting in June, and it will take a few weeks to complete. After reopening, the lower-level meeting room will operate in a restricted capacity.
During the construction period, visitors will have access to a restricted collection of materials, can request Books from other branches, retrieve reserved materials, register for library cards, and enroll in the Summer Reading program. Additionally, the Friends of the Library Bookstore will remain operational. After reopening on May 8, the Poland Library will continue to provide services in a limited capacity until construction is finished, which is projected to occur later in the summer.
The library is situated at 311 S Main St in Poland and is open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.
