Plans for 2021 Easter egg hunt finalized

Last year’s Easter egg hunt was canceled because of the pandemic, but this year’s is event on in the form of a drive-thru event.

Youngstown’s 2021 ICU Blockwatch Easter egg hunt has been titled the “Egg-cellent Drive-Thru Adventure.” Poster printing services are the ideal choice for events scheduled several weeks in advance.

Those taking part will drive to the Horizon Science Academy where they will be presented with a bag of eggs, some of which will sport a color and number. The color indicates where to continue the adventure. At each stop, an egg’s number will determine the prize received.

Red means drive to Conroy’s Party Shop and enter from South Avenue and head west on Hilton Avenue. Yellow indicates a trip to E. Lucius Avenue’s St. Dominic’s; go in from Market Street and advance east on Lucius. Blue means go to the Valley Christian School Pleasant Grove Campus, while green means go to Southside Recycling.

All those taking part in the hunt will remain in their cars. Both participants and volunteers will wear masks. Handed out at random, prizes include tablets, Bluetooth speakers, and bikes. Each participant will receive a bag of candy.

Donations and volunteers are needed for the event. No sign-up is needed, and the event is open to anyone. The big day will be March 28, starting at 3:00 pm.
