A nature learning event is coming to the Youngstown area next month, providing opportunities for learning and growth for Youngstown’s youth.
The Nature Preschool learning series is returning to Youngstown in a few weeks, and local preschoolers are invited to attend and learn more about turtles. The event aims to open children's eyes to the natural world around them.
Kids in attendance will explore Lily Pond and learn about the nature in the area. The hands-on learning experience will allow them to meet and handle turtles.
Attendees will also learn to create a craft they can take home at the event’s conclusion. The program covers a different subject each month, and May’s focus is wild turtles native to Ohio. Guests will spend the event outdoors with a parent or guardian, with the class offering stories, crafts, and activities for children aged 3 through 6 to enjoy.
Brochure printing is a fantastic way to help attendees learn more about nature at outdoor events like this. Parents and guardians are encouraged to check the weather and help their children dress for the conditions. Registered guests will be notified if the event is canceled due to severe weather.
The course will be held at Lily Pond on Sunday, May 11, beginning at noon and ending at 1:00 PM. Tickets cost $12 per child and can be reserved online.
