Kayaking adventure helps Youngstown residents get outside

A kayaking adventure is being organized near Youngstown for next month, and area residents looking to spend quality time in the sun are invited to join.

The Lake Newport Kayak adventure will begin accepting guest registrations soon while enjoying a naturalist-guided kayaking session in the Mill Creek Metro Parks area. The event is being organized by WildYou, a group committed to helping individuals enjoy and learn more about the outdoors.

The guide will help participants explore the wetlands and take in the surrounding views from the kayak while out on the water. All interested parties are welcome to join, no matter their experience levels. All participants must be 18 or older to register, and registered guests can bring a kayak from home or rent one from the organizers. Poster printing can help combine imagery and captivating text to promote such events and increase attendance.

Other personal items recommended for the day include bug spray, sunscreen, sunglasses, a comfortable hat, hand sanitizer, binoculars, snacks, and drinking water. Shoes with a backstrap are encouraged. Interested parties can contact Julie at WildYou for more information or any questions about the experience and weather-related cancellations.

The kayaking adventure will be held on Sunday, May 25, starting at noon and ending at 2:00 PM. Registered guests will meet at the East Newport Beach Boat Launch in Youngstown. Tickets are $30 with a kayak rental and $15 without.
